Jay Scott

Jay Scott


Jay Scott has a well-rounded career in real estate development with experience in retail, mixed-use, office and residential. An industry veteran, Scott has been responsible for the development of over twelve million square feet of retail and office space and in excess of 1,500 units of luxury apartments and condominium properties. His experience and tenant relationships have played a pivotal role in establishing Solomon Real Estate Group as one of the upper Midwest’s strongest and most formidable real estate development companies.

Prior to his creation of Solomon, Scott was a Partner with North American Properties, where he founded the company’s Minneapolis office. Prior to joining North American Properties, Scott served as the Director of Real Estate Development for the Opus Group of Companies, where he was responsible for the retail development activities in multiple markets across the United States.

Scott is an active member of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA) where he has served two terms on the Board of Directors and was the association’s President in 2007. Scott is also active with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), and is a frequent guest speaker on a variety of industry related topics.

Steve Johnson

Development Partner

Steve Johnson has a broad and diverse background in retail, mixed-use and office development. A seasoned veteran with more than thirty years of experience in the real estate industry, Johnson has developed over eight million square feet of commercial space in his illustrious career. His keen understanding of commercial development along with his established relationships with regional brokers and national retailers has enabled Johnson to be a leader within the retail real estate community.

Prior to joining Solomon, Johnson served as the Director of Development and Leasing for North American Properties. Prior to joining North American Properties, Johnson operated his own retail development company specializing in the development of grocery-anchored retail centers. Johnson is also an active member with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA), where he currently serves on the Board of Directors

Andy McConville

Vice President of Development and Leasing

Andy McConville has an extensive and broad knowledge in retail leasing and sales. With over 23 years of experience in the real estate, Andy has an intuitive perspective of the retail industry. He has been involved in more than 5 million square feet of retail transactions during his career. His understanding of owners’ and tenants’ needs and objectives has enabled him to develop great relationships throughout the industry. Andy’s expertise extends to all property types, from free-standing buildings to community centers.

Before joining Solomon, McConville spent over 23 years at CBRE, Inc., where he was a retail broker that specialized in representing both tenants and landlords. His honest approach and his extensive market knowledge is greatly appreciated by owners and users alike.  He is an active member Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA) and The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Stephen Eggert

Development Partner

Stephen Eggert has an extensive and diverse 31 year career in retail real estate development. He held executive positions on both the retailer and developer sides of the business. As a retailer, he has overseen the entire development process, leading cross functional teams in women’s fashions, music, and with Target Corporation for stores across the United States. In addition, he has managed, remodeled, leased and participated in the sale of regional shopping centers for General Growth Properties and Jones Lang LaSalle.

Prior to joining Solomon, Eggert served in Real Estate Management for 14 years with Target Corporation where he developed and redeveloped hundreds of Target stores across the United States. With a collaborative and creative approach in a challenging environment, he was able to consistently deliver high quality Target stores within scope, schedule and budget.

Eggert acquired his MBA degree from the University of St. Thomas. He has been a member of ICSC since 1992 and of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association since 1995 where he is a past President, Vice President and Board Director. Eggert is also a current member of the Urban Land Institute and since 2010 has served as a Commissioner on the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in his local community.

Patrick Hart, CCIM

Capital/Finance Partner

Pat is responsible for co-underwriting acquisitions and developments, assemblage and presentation of investment offerings and implementation of equity and debt structures that support the companies various investment opportunities.

As a veteran in structured finance, he has and continues to assemble millions of equity and debt capital to fund various commercial real estate projects. In 2001 he obtained his Certified Commercial Investment Member “CCIM” designation furthering his commitment to industry excellence. Pat is a Co-Founder of the Solomon Real Estate Group who has and continues to develop award winning projects and a Managing Partner and Principal of the Meyer Real Estate Group.

Pat is a leader with strong communication and relationship building skills. Over the years he has developed a wide, trusted and diverse network of industry experts that add value and insure successful outcomes to the projects his Stakeholders are involved with.

Charlie Traeger


Charlie is responsible for the financial stewardship of Solomon and Meyer Real Estate and associated entities, including capital and operating budgets, financial affairs and reporting, procurement and debt/treasury management. He leverages his strong finance and leadership experience with multiple businesses to lead the Finance Team.

He has a long career of successfully acting as CFO of multifaceted, complicated, rapidly growing businesses and has been part of multiple development and asset management deals. He has his CPA and has been in the Real Estate industry for over 15 years.

Charlie excels in his underwriting and financial management of real estate
projects. He also understands the importance of communicating accurate and timely financial information to all stakeholders and investors.

Theresa Hart

Vice President of Leasing

Theresa Hart brings extensive knowledge of retail leasing with more than 32 years of experience in working with owners, developers and retailers to provide leasing, strategic planning, market research and site selection.

Before joining Solomon, Hart has had the opportunity to work with Kraus Anderson Realty, Madison Marquette Realty and Heritage Property Investment Trust. Working on behalf of owners and developers, Theresa identifies potential tenants, negotiates contracts and works on planning, design and layout of new, existing and remodeled projects.

Theresa is a member of Minnesota Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), Minnesota Commercial Association of Real Estate/Realtors (MNCAR), Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Badland Board of Realtors – North Dakota and Minnesota Area Association of Realtors. She holds a Real Estate Broker License in Minnesota & North Dakota.
